According to a Mehr News Agency reporter, Morteza Hajian Nejad stated in a press conference hosted by the Semnan Province Customs Office on Sunday evening that goods produced in Semnan, Shahrud, and Garmsar have been exported to other parts of the world. He announced the export of 339,000 tons of goods from Semnan Province to other parts of the world and added that 42 countries were the destinations for goods produced in Semnan Province.

The Director General of Semnan Province Customs, emphasizing that exports have grown by 9 percent in weight and 8 percent in financial value, stated: “To improve these statistics, we request that producers carry out their customs procedures through the offices in Semnan Province.”

Hajian Nejad, noting that 34,000 tons of goods were imported into Semnan Province during the mentioned period, clarified: “The value of these goods is estimated at 167 million dollars.”

He added: “Most of these goods are raw materials for production units and industrial machinery, many of which re-enter the export cycle after being transformed into manufactured products.”
