According to the Mehr News Agency, the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture announced that the import of two products, tomatoes and onions, has been allowed from October 15, 2025.
The ministry’s statement mentioned that due to a shortage in domestic production and to maintain price stability in the country’s market, the ban on importing tomatoes and onions was lifted to keep the supply and demand market balanced.
Previously, on September 17, the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture had banned the import of 44 agricultural and animal products from abroad.
