According to Mehr News Agency, Khashayar Damavandi emphasized that the evaluation centers, including sample test laboratories, localization depth evaluation centers, and environmental condition test laboratories, all need a complete update, stating: These institutions have not yet fully aligned themselves with new and advanced technologies and need to develop laboratory infrastructure and further training for employees to reach the desired standards.

The chairman of the board of directors of the knowledge-based company Farabin introduced investment in test centers and specialized laboratories as a key factor in the advancement of this industry and added: Proper and targeted investments must be made in these centers, especially the Research Institute of Communications and Information Technology, so that these institutions can effectively play a role in the country’s technological development process.

Damavandi continued to address the existing obstacles in the evaluation process and issuing approvals for domestic production and said: Currently, the evaluation regulations and approval of the technical and security performance of domestically produced products act as a barrier against producers.

He also noted: Conversely, there are many facilities for issuing permits for the operation of imported equipment, which requires serious review.

He stated: The process of issuing permits for imported equipment and the strictness in the approval process of domestic products should be reviewed. We must try to remove the obstacles ahead and take steps to support domestic producers.

Damavandi concluded by expressing hope for increased cooperation between government institutions, universities, and knowledge-based companies, emphasizing that with comprehensive cooperation, the existing challenges can be overcome and a suitable environment for the growth and development of technology and communication industries can be provided.
