Summary: Isfahan Customs reported significant trade growth during the first seven months of the year, with exports reaching $631.7 million and imports totaling $387 million. According to Mehr News Agency, Rasul Kuhestani stated that during the first seven months of this year, export procedures for 955,214 tons of goods worth $631.749 million were completed at Isfahan province customs offices.
He added that import procedures for 81,000 tons of goods valued at $387 million were processed through Isfahan customs, bringing the total trade volume through the province’s customs to 1.037 million tons worth $1.019 billion.
The Director General of Isfahan Customs further reported that during this period, 33,982 billion rials in revenue were identified by provincial customs according to issued permits, of which 18,982 billion rials were deposited into the treasury and approximately 15,000 billion rials were covered by guarantee bonds.
60% Increase in Customs Revenue
Kuhestani added that treasury deposits increased by 40%, guarantee bonds taken grew by 95%, and overall Isfahan customs revenue showed 60% growth.
He listed 533 export items from Isfahan customs and expressed that during the seven-month period, petroleum products at $203 million, dairy products at $88 million, iron and steel products at $84 million, machine-made carpets at $62 million, and copper and its products at $36 million were the main exports through Isfahan customs.
The Director General of Isfahan Customs announced that exports reached 74 countries and stated that during the first seven months, Pakistan at $190 million, Iraq at $106 million, Afghanistan at $87 million, United Arab Emirates at $57 million, and Turkey at $48 million were the main export destinations through Isfahan customs.
According to Kuhestani, import procedures for 81,870 tons of goods worth $386.932 million were also completed at Isfahan province customs during the first seven months of this year.
Regarding the main import items through provincial customs, he said: During the seven-month period, mechanical machinery worth $186 million, electrical machinery worth $46 million, aluminum and its products worth $31 million, vehicles and parts worth $14 million, and iron and steel products worth $10 million were imported and cleared through Isfahan customs.
The Director General of Isfahan Customs, referring to the most important countries of origin for imports through Isfahan customs, stated: During the seven-month period, China at $130 million, United Arab Emirates at $87 million, Turkey at $47 million, Germany at $26 million, and Italy at $21 million were the main sources.
