Iranian Machine-Made Carpet Exports Surge 7% to $130 Million
Iran’s machine-made carpet industry has continued to thrive, with exports reaching $130 million in the first half of the year, marking a 7% increase compared to the same period last year.
Mohsen Gorji, Director General of the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade’s Apparel and Textile Office, attributed this growth to the industry’s robust supply chain and competitive designs. “The Iranian machine-made carpet industry is one of the most dynamic and mature in the country,” Gorji said. “Our strengths lie in domestic design and a strong supply chain.”
Gorji also highlighted the role of domestic companies in producing spare parts for machinery, emphasizing the country’s self-sufficiency in this area. “Domestic companies have developed the capability to produce spare parts that are essential for maintaining and improving the efficiency of our machinery,” he added.
