According to Mehr News Agency reporter, Morteza Hajian Nejad stated in a press conference on Tuesday afternoon hosted by the Semnan Customs Administration that during the first six months of this year, goods produced in Semnan province were exported to 42 countries worldwide, including Turkey, Russia, China, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Armenia, and others.
He added that during this period, 212,000 tons of goods were exported from Semnan province, with an estimated value of $115 million.
Positive Trade Balance for Semnan Customs
The Director General of Semnan Customs stated that this volume of goods represents a 5% increase in weight compared to the same period last year, noting that the average value per ton of exported goods from the province is $539.
Hajian Nejad emphasized that major exported goods include animal butter, plastic products, calcium chloride, sodium carbonate, base oil, hydrocarbons, polypropylene bags, sulfuric acid, wires and cables, refined oil, evaporative coolers, detergents, tiles and ceramics, auto parts, washing machines, and other industrial and agricultural items.
He added that exports were processed through the customs offices of Shahrud, Semnan, and the special economic zone of Garmsar, and the trade balance of Semnan Customs was positive during the first six months of this year.
Clearance of 22,000 Tons of Goods
The Director General of Semnan Customs stated that in the import sector, 22,000 tons of goods were cleared, with most being industrial equipment and specialized parts needed by industries in Semnan province.
Hajian Nejad clarified that 22,000 tons of goods were imported into Semnan province, with an approximate value of $108 million.
He added that these goods were imported from 28 countries worldwide, showing an 8% increase in weight and a 13% decrease in value.
