Alborz’s non-oil exports have surpassed 1.3 billion dollars.

According to the Mehr reporter, Ahmad Afzali, Deputy Coordinator of Economic Affairs of Alborz Province, this evening in the non-oil export working group of the province, held in the hall of the martyrs of the provincial government, pointed out that Alborz has high capacities in the field of leading industries, strategic products, and high value-added productions and said: Alborz Province has always been one of the active provinces in the field of non-oil exports and considering the effective role of the private sector, we need to strengthen supporting tools, including the services of the Export Guarantee Fund of Iran.

Referring to the fact that the province’s non-oil exports have exceeded about one billion and 300 million dollars, he added: This growth is the result of joint efforts of economic activists, precise planning of the provincial management, and the use of legal capacities in support of production and trade.

Afzali announced the drafting and signing of a tripartite memorandum of understanding between the Alborz provincial government, the provincial chamber of commerce, and the Iran Export Guarantee Fund and added: The aim of this memorandum of understanding is to create support for export activists in the field of guarantees, facilities, credit assessment, and reduction of export risks. With the implementation of this cooperation, it is expected that a leap will occur in the export of industrial, agricultural, and even technical and engineering services of the province.

The Deputy Economic Governor, pointing out that Alborz also has a prominent position in the country in terms of the number of knowledge-based companies, said: Alborz has the capacity to become one of the country’s export hubs.

Afzali also appreciated the efforts of artists and craftsmen on the occasion of National Carpet Day and Handicrafts Day and said: Our traditional and indigenous goods have high export capacity, which with proper support, their share in global markets can also be increased.

He expressed hope that the cooperation between Alborz Province and the Export Guarantee Fund of Iran will turn into a reliable support for the sustainable development of non-oil exports this year.
