According to the Mehr News Agency report, based on the announcement of Iran’s Customs, Iran’s non-oil foreign trade in Farvardin 1404 reached 10 million 756 thousand tons and a value of 5 billion 798 million dollars; this amount of Iran’s non-oil foreign trade during the mentioned period shows a 12% decrease in weight and a 3% decrease in value.
Of the total non-oil foreign trade of the country, 8 million 957 thousand tons worth 2 billion 942 million dollars were allocated to exports and 1 million 799 thousand tons worth 2 billion 856 million dollars to imports.
Iran’s non-oil exports in the current month of the year decreased by 8.3% in terms of weight and 8% in terms of value, and imports showed a 26.4% decrease in weight and a 2.3% increase in value.
15% share of petrochemicals in the export basket
The report adds: The average customs value of each ton of exported goods in the current Farvardin month was 328 dollars, which shows an increase of 0.47 percent compared to the same period last year. Also, the average customs value of each ton of imported goods was 1,587 dollars, which grew by 39% compared to the same period last year.
In Farvardin of the current year, 15% of the weight and 20.6% of the total value of Iran’s non-oil exports were allocated to the export of petrochemical products.
The report on the main export items in the current one-month period adds: Liquefied propane with 189 million dollars, petroleum bitumen with 182 million dollars, liquefied butane with 154 million dollars, iron and steel ingots with 120 million dollars, and methanol with 110 million dollars were the top 5 export items during this period.
Export of nearly one billion dollars of goods to China
According to this report, the highest amount of exported goods in the current Farvardin month was to the countries of China with 997 million dollars, Iraq 401 million dollars, United Arab Emirates 395 million dollars, Turkey 189 million dollars, Afghanistan 143 million dollars, Oman 140 million dollars, and Pakistan 124 million dollars.
80% of the weight and 81% of the total value of Iran’s non-oil exports were exported to the aforementioned 7 countries.
Gold at the top of imported goods
The report on the main import items in Farvardin 1404 adds: During this period, raw forms of gold valued at 583 million dollars, animal corn 175 million dollars, rice 91 million dollars, soybean meal 75 million dollars, and soybean seeds 66 million dollars were the top 5 imported items during this period.
According to this report, the main countries trading imports with Iran in the current one-month period included the United Arab Emirates with 859 million dollars, China 768 million dollars, Turkey 538 million dollars, Germany 87 million dollars, Netherlands 75 million dollars, India 69 million dollars, and Pakistan 43 million dollars.
83% of the weight and 85% of the total value of imports to the country during the mentioned period were conducted from the aforementioned 7 countries.
