He continued that the foreign transit originating from Jolfa in the first eight months of this year amounted to 365,979 tons, and the foreign transit destined for Jolfa was 682,839 tons.
The Director General of Jolfa Customs also announced a 32% increase in the customs revenue from imports in the first eight months of this year compared to the same period last year.
Bislam said that the revenue of Jolfa Customs from imports in the first eight months of this year reached approximately 5 Hamt (50,000 billion Rials), while this figure was about 4 Hamt (40,000 billion Rials) in the same period last year.
Referring to the growing trend of commercial activities and the facilitation of customs processes at this important border of the country, he added that the increase in import volume, improvement of infrastructure, and acceleration of customs formalities are among the factors contributing to this revenue growth.
