According to a Mehr News Agency reporter, Morteza Hajian Nejad stated on Tuesday morning in a press conference hosted by the Semnan Province Customs Department that, referring to the favorable export status of goods from the province, products from Semnan Province are exported to 39 countries worldwide.
He continued: Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Oman, Russia, Turkey, the UAE, Azerbaijan, and Kuwait were importers of products from Semnan Province.
The Director General of Semnan Province Customs expressed satisfaction with the increase in exports and further stated: The export of goods has grown by five percent in terms of weight and eight percent in terms of value.
Hajian Nejad reported the export of 288 tons of manufactured goods from the province to other countries and said: The value of these goods is 163 million dollars.
He added: Plastic products, sodium carbonate, edible salt, evaporative coolers, detergents, hydrocarbons, wire and cable, refined oil, calcium chloride, and washing machines are among the export-oriented manufactured products of Semnan Province.
The Director General of Semnan Province Customs announced the import of goods as 31 thousand tons and stated: These imported goods are mostly the raw materials needed by factories and production units in Semnan Province.
Hajian Nejad listed 30 countries worldwide as exporters of manufactured products to Iran and said: The UAE, Italy, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and China are among them.
He stated the value of imported goods as 153 million dollars and added: We are witnessing a four percent growth in terms of weight and, hopefully, a six percent decrease in the value of goods entering Semnan.
