According to Mehr News Agency, Behrouz Khalili stated in the meeting of the working group on non-oil exports development of Ardabil province: Completing infrastructure, including launching a free trade zone, establishing a joint free trade zone with the Republic of Azerbaijan, a dry logistics port, a special economic zone, and equipping the province’s customs offices are among the local government’s programs in the economic sector.

He mentioned financing, utilizing delegated authority for border trade, creating and completing production value chains with an export-oriented approach, developing knowledge-based production, and exporting technical and engineering services as other program axes of the government.

The Deputy for Economic Affairs Coordination of Ardabil Governor emphasized: The President emphasizes the development of border trade in border provinces, and the Governor of Ardabil has also stated that economic diplomacy, development of processing and complementary industries, and product standardization are requirements for achieving the province’s export goals.
